The District 8 female was presumably reaped for the 74th Hunger Games, as it is unlikely that she volunteered. For the chariot rides, she and her district partner were dressed to pay homage to their district's export. She was presumably present during training. Like the other twenty three tributes, she was subjected to an individual interview with host Caesar Flickerman.
The District female impressively managed to survive the initial corncopia bloodbath, and escaped into the forest, although her district partner was killed. It is unknown if she managed to gather any supplies, but she was able to create a small fire on the first night of the games, unware of her close proximity to District 12 tribute Katniss Everdeen who was hiding in a nearby tree. Unfortunately, her fire attracted the career pack consisting of Cato, Glimmer, Clove, Marvel, the District 4 female, and Peeta Mellark. She was then mamed by Cato with his sword as she screamed, although she was not killed until Peeta finished her off. She placed 13th out of 24 tributes. On the final day of the games, her DNA was used to create a wolf-like muttation that chased the final three tributes Cato, Katniss, and Peeta. It is unknown if her mutt survived.
