74th Hunger Games[]
The District 5 male was presumably reaped for the 74th Hunger Games, considering District 5's position as a less wealthy district, it is unlikely that he volunteered. He persumably participated in training, and like the other twenty three tributes, was subjected to a single interview with Caesar Flickerman shortly before the games.
The District male was killed in the initial cornucopia bloodbath, most likely by one of the careers. Although he did not live past the first day of the games, his district partner managed to survive far longer than he did. He placed somewhere in between 23rd and 14th place, and his DNA was used to create a physically similar wolf like muttation that chased final three tributes Cato, Katniss Everdeen, and Peeta Mellark on the final day of the games. It's unknown if his mutt survived or not.
