This thirteen year old girl from District 3 participated in the 74th Hunger Games, along with her district partner.
Biography[]
74th Hunger Games[]
The District 3 female was presumably reaped for the 74th Hunger Games, as it is unlikely that she volunteered, coming from a less fortunate district such as District Three. During the opening ceremony chariot rides, she wore a ornate disc-like headress with large shoulder pads and a sparkled dress. Like the other twenty three tributes, she was subjected to an individual interview with Caesar Flickerman just before the games. The District female was killed in the initial cornucopia bloodbath, most likely by one of the career tributes. Despite her early death, her district partner managed to survive far longer than she did. Like the other
deceased tributes, her DNA was used to create a wolf-like muttation in her likeness for the final day of the games, which chased final three tributes Cato, Katniss Everdeen, and Peeta Mellark. It is unknown if her mutt survived. She placed somewhere in between 24th and 14th place.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The District 3 female was portrayed by Kalia Prescott in The Hunger Games (film).
- Her height is given as 5'9" in the movie adaption.
- This effectively makes her the tallest female tribute.
- Her betting odds are seen to be 30-1, and her age is 13.
- In the film's cornucopia bloodbath, the District 3 female can be seen struggling with the District 5 male, who presumably kills her.
- She additionally had an extra scene that was deleted from the final version of the film where she falls and splits her lip while running on the gauntlets in the training center, as the other tributes look on.
